Company History

1952 August Foundation at Kanda, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo with capital 5 Million JPY.
1954 July Start of business of Wako Anchor.
1954 August Change of location of Head Office to Kyobashi, Chuo-ku, Tokyo.
1954 September Establishment of Nippon Filter Mfg. Co., Ltd.(NFK) Start of supply of Micro filter for oil refining. Start of production of filters for internal combustion engine, hydraulic equipment and industrial equipment. NFK Microfilter and Filter Separator had exclusive approval in Japan from Japan Defence Agency(JDA), US Air Force and Shell Oil Co. for arcraft refueling service.
1963 September Development of O-type Pole Guard for protection of electric power pole and start of supply to electric power companies.
1969 March Sales Agreement with Michigan Dynamics, U.S.A. and start if supply of filter for aircraft refuelling.
1970 September Establishment of Wako Fram Co., Ltd., a joint venture with Fram Corp,, U.S.A. and Lisence Agreement between Fram Corp. and Nippon Filter Mfg. Co.Ltd.
1971 January Increase of capital to 60 Million JPY.
1971 May Merger of Nippon Filter MFG,. Co., Ltd. (Capital 60 Millin JPY) amd Daiichi Rogyo Co., Ltd. (capital 10 Million JPY) to Wako IndustrialCo., Ltd. (Capital 130 Million JPY) for integrating overall force of prodution and supply.
1971 September Development of heavy duty Anchor (8 tons) anf Pneumatic Anchor Driver for driving large sized Anchor.
1971 December License Agreement with Fram Corp., U.S.A. for automotive filter.
1973 March Establishment of Shizuoka Plant to expand production capacity of automotive filter.
1979 April License Agreement with Facet Enterprises, Inc. who was separated from Fram Corp. and start of production of Filter Separator complying with American Petroleum Institute(API) standard for airport fueling facilities use.
1980 October License Agreement with King Tool Company, U.S.A. and supply King Tool gas filter on exclusive basis in Japan.
1982 May Dissolution of joint venture, Wako Fram Co., Ltd. and business succeeded by Wako Industrial Co., Ltd.
1985 April Expansion of innovative production facilities of Shizuoka plant.
1993 April Operation of plastic injection moulding facilities in Shizuoka plant.
1994 November Establishment of Wako Filter Ltd. as a subsidiary.
1997 May Acquisition of qualification of international quality management standard ISO9001.
1997 December Establishment of Henan Pingyuan Wako Filter Co., Ltd., a joint venture in China with Pingyuan Machine Factory, China and start of production and supply of automotive Filter.
2000 July Increase of capital to 312 Million JPY.
2002 July Acquisition of qualification of international environmant management standard ISO14001.
2003 June Acquisition of qualification of international quality management standard ISO9001:2000.
2004 April Change of location of Head Office to Kaji-cho, Chuo-ku, Tokyo
Establishment of Shizuoka Plant 2 specializing in plastic products.
2005 May Establishment of Tsukuba Plant at Bando-shi, Ibaraki.
2005 July Rename to Wako Filter Technology Co., Ltd. from Wako Industrial Co., Ltd.
2006 July Establishment of Technical Center in Tsukuba Plant.
2007 October Capitalized at 480 Million JPY.
2008 May Establishment of Xinxiang Peace Seiki Co., Ltd. in Henan Province, China.
2008 June Establishment of Wako Autoparts Co., Ltd. as a subsidiary specializing in aftermarket.
2008 October Acquisition of qualification of international quality management standard ISO/TS16949:2002.
2009 November Establishment of Shanghai Wako Filter Trading Co., Ltd.
2010 February Rename of Daiichi Rogyo Co., Ltd. to Wako Techno Co., Ltd. and increase of capital to 80 Million JPY by adding 70 Million JPY.
2010 May Unite of Guy Anchor & Equipments Business Division into Wako Techno Co., Ltd. as a total service company of environment relation.
2011 September Establishment of Wako Filter (Changzhou) Co., Ltd. in Changzhou, China.
2012 January Establishment of joint venture J. Filter Co., Ltd. in Thailand.
2012 June Establishment of joint venture Wako Filter (Thailand) Co., Ltd. in Thailand.
2014 February Conducting capital alliance with Hino Motors, Ltd. by private equity allocation.
2017 March Merger of Xinxiang Peace Seiki Co., Ltd. to Henan Peace Filter Co., Ltd.
2017 November Increase of share of Henan Peace Filter Co., Ltd. to 86.7%.
2018 August Acquisition of qualification if international automotive quality management standard IATF16949.
